Scouting with a Book Scanner - Is it worth it?

I have been an Online Bookseller for a few years now but have not always used a Books Scanner. When I first started selling books I didnt know people were using 'gadgets' to find books worth purchasing. But later I would see people at book sales scanning but I wasn't sure what they were doing or why.
One thing that all Booksellers know about is the disappointment of going to booksales and yard sales all day long and coming back with books that aren't going to sell for very much profit. Especially those worthless PENNY books selling on Amazon! When do you find out that they aren't going to sell for much? When you get home and try to list them. In other words AFTER you've bought them.
Well this is how a book scanner can help you. You scan the barcode on the back of the book and it shows you how much the book is selling for on Amazon. If it isn't selling for much and it is not worth buying then you know it while you're there at the book sale. You put the book down and move onto another book.

I have been an online seller for a few years now and have used a handful of Barcodes Scanners. Some great, some not. Tethered and cordless. Here are some of the best Barcodes Scanners I have used. - Books Scanner
You don't have to spend a fortune when Buying a Books Scanner. I've been selling books online for a few years now and I know how important and useful my Books Scanner is to me.
Now that I've been using a Book Scanner for awhile I see no logical reason not to use one. If you go to a book sale without one you are simply there guessing. What other Business can you do this in and be successful? Do yourself a favor and look into Book Scanners that are available.
I will tell you that you don't have to settle for the Book Scanners that are going for $500 dollars or more. I couldn't afford that when I first started and chances are you cannot either. So check out your options and find yourself an affordable Book Scanner so you can have better days at book sales and make the profits your hard work deserves.
Check out the video below. It will show you some shots of people scanning books so you'll see how it is done. It is very easy and really does help in a big way. But what you want to do is find a book scanner that is atleast half the cost of the higher-end models. The scanner in this video is by neatoscan and it is higher end models. Which means too expensive. You can have the same thing but less expensive models. A PDA, a scan card and a memory card.
Take a look at this video about book scanning. But I don't recommend buying from neatoscan. There are less expensive scanners available.
